Professor El Khoury teaches legal and constitutional history at Carlos III. She also works as an International Consultant on constitutional matters with UNDP. She has previously worked at the European Endowment for Democracy (EED) in Brussels, and the Toledo International Centre for Peace (CITpax) in Madrid. She has lectured at the Université Catholique de Paris and the Universitat de Girona, and has been a visiting scholar at the Centro di studi per la storia del pensiero giuridico moderno in Florence. She has published Constitución mixta y modernización en Líbano (Mixed Constitution and Modernization in Lebanon) at Dykinson (2013). She is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Arabic.
